Logie Awards

Generally speaking you wouldn't put much stock in a Logie Award (after all Ray Martin has a swag of them). However the Most Outstanding Awards are the only peer voted Logie's, i.e. they are voted for by the industry and are considered much more prestigious than the Most Popular categories.

For the record, the Phoenix win in 1992 was by one of the biggest margins in the history of the Logie Awards. The excellent NSW Police Corruption docu-drama Blue Murder just pipped Janus II in 1995.

  • 1994, Janus, Most Outstanding Drama.
  • 1993, Phoenix II, Most Outstanding Drama.
  • 1993, Janus, Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actor: Chris Heywood.
  • 1992, Phoenix, Most Outstanding Series.

AFI Awards

The Australian Film Institute Awards are Australia's equivalent of the Oscars. They are true 'industry awards' voted for by AFI members.
