Roo fans meet in Darwin

6 June 2002

The Darwin Kangaroos Supporter Group will meet tonight to coincide with the Richmond game at Colonial Stadium.

Spokesman Des Martin said the group recently formed to be a focus point for Darwin based supporters.

"Now is the time to show your true colors and enjoy the company of Kangaroos supporters in Darwin," he said.

The Kangaroos have a strong following in the Northern Territory, aided by a number of players who have played for the club over the past few years including the Motlop brothers, Shannon and Daniel, the mercurial Adrian McAdam and Garry Dhurrkay.

The Kangaroos see Supporter Groups as an extension of the club itself who can assist the club by recruiting members and raising funds. Other groups to be established include Adelaide, Ballarat, Bendigo, Launceston, Sale, Warrnambool, WA, Albury/Wodonga and ACT.

The Darwin Kangaroos Supporter Group will meet tonight at the Darwin Golf Club from 6.30pm.
